Spotlight Mini Session
C’est si bon is the name of Veronique’s Lausanne-based fine food catering & delivery business. And yes, like the name implies, it is good. But, much better than good.
Veronique’s creations are superb – from mouth-watering eggplant lasagna to fresh salads in jars to succulent mango ceviche. Every meal or jarred item (yes, she also makes jams, crunchy granola and more) is delicious, and always with a twist. That’s why the name of her business is slightly understated – just like the chef herself. Always a perfectionist, she was ready for our session in a crisp white apron in her beautiful open-spaced gleaming white kitchen with an island packed full of colourful fresh veggies and fruit, and her homegrown edible flowers. A graduate of the Hotel School in Lausanne, Veronique originally hails from Ticino. Besides running a successful company, she also is an expert seamstress and sews costumes for her children’s school plays. She also teaches cooking classes to children. One busy lady.
Considering her wealth of talents, it’s a wonder she was a little camera shy. Her zest is there – just like the amazing island-inspired zest in her to-die-for key lime pie – it just had to be coaxed out a bit. Spotlight Session
Jo is a resilience-based leadership coach who works with a diverse range of clients, with a speciality in female leaders, entrepreneurs and those working in the non-profit sector.
Warm, soulful, joyful, laid-back and quirky are a few words Jo would use to describe herself. In the shoot, we wanted to capture her vibrant personality with the mix of professionalism she brings to her coaching, thus using a range of props and backgrounds. She had several wardrobe changes and wore colours that suited her colouring and reflected her brand. She is so passionate about helping her clients, that it was hard not to get caught up in her enthusiasm! Our fun & lively session was set in two locations at her home office and along beautiful Lac Leman, where she often goes on walks while coaching clients. It was pure joy capturing this photogenic leader in her element.
Spotlight Session
ISY Cooks is a homemade food catering business started by the vivacious and engaging Isy. She offers varied weekly menus for pick up and delivery, and is also a personal chef for several families.
Inspired by her Portuguese granny’s traditional recipes, Isabel “Isy” cooks these family favourites plus many other crowd pleasers such as lasagna and mac & cheese. Using only the freshest ingredients, she offers meals that are delicious, comforting and health conscious. During her session, we focused on a few settings to fully capture her business and personality. First stop was Isy in the kitchen doing what she loves best: cooking! And then we captured her relaxing, reading her cookbooks and telling the story of some of her beautiful nautical paintings hanging in her elegant living room. Spotlight Mini Session
By Famke is the name of her ultra-creative personalization business based in Lausanne.
Famke personalizes a countless array of items such as t-shirts, water bottles, beach bags, pillowcases, aprons, wine glass markers for many different types of occasions. Annual holidays keep her busy, as well as children’s birthday parties for which she produces customized items for gift bags and accessories, ranging from themes like “wild at heart” jungle to unicorns to disco party.
Efficient and upbeat also describe this active Dutch woman who is also a mom to twin boys and a girl. While her children were younger and before she launched her business, she dabbled in sewing and was always very much into DIY projects. Her efficiency may have stemmed from having twins or the fact that she has moved multiple times throughout Europe. Nevertheless, it’s a helpful trait to have when asked to sometimes produce last-minute orders for clients.
During our shoot she showed me her various work tools in her immaculate studio. With its direct access to her garden, it’s clearly her “happy place” and one that keeps her creative energy flowing.
